Spelling Bee
Congrats to Brady...he won his class spelling bee again this year. He said last year when he finished runner-up in the school wide spelling bee "next year I am going to win".
On a funny note:
Last year the spelling bee winner was Kayla Dubberly and Bradon was the runner-up. Both got a trophy and had their picture taken together with Wayne Williams (principal). This picture was for the yearbook. Well they spelled Bradon's name wrong on the Spelling Bee page...HA!!

First Try
A friend sent me an email of this house that has music playing and the lights blink at different speeds keeping up with the beat of the music. Well RK and Cade wanted to watch the video when they heard the music and this is the result of my playing it for them.
This is the follow up video where Cade decided that he would showcase his moves, which in the previous clip you could see that RK was not too happy about. Anyway Cade has a little fun here and I ask RK to dance for me and what you hear her saying is "I want to do it by myself."
And here is the "Princess" in her solo. After we listened to the song over and over again we then had to watch the video of them dancing over and over again. Aren't kids great!!!!

Masterpiece
This first picture belongs to Cade!!
Here we have RK's picture!!
This is Brady's Santa picture!!
They had a good time painting these for me but probably did not enjoy it as much as I enjoy having their finished masterpieces. Once they were ready to be hung I decided to put them above their stockings which I think is too cute. We actually were able to get a lot of family time in this week which there always seems to be a shortage of in this house. We watched both Narnia movies and painted pictures. All in all it made for a lot of good family time and what better time than around Christmas. Below is the finished product on display.

Only Sweet Cade
Cade went to the dentist on Thursday to get those "bugs" filled that I mentioned about a week ago on our blog. The night before I told him that we were going to the dentist to get his cavities bugs fixed. Well Cade tends to become overwhelmed with things and anxiety began to set in. Really he is quite funny in this mode. That night before bed and after breakfast the next morning he had flossed his teeth 3 or 4 times. That is something I have a very hard time getting him to do consistently. Now it does not seem to be a problem...I think he was thinking that when he got to the dentist in the morning that they might just be gone. Poor baby! Anyway, I thought it might be a good idea to give the fellow "happy gas" for the procedure and thank the good Lord I did. They numbed him up next and wouldn't you know being numb and drugged Cade was still flipping out about the fillings. He kept on trying to smile for me and his mouth stayed the same...he did find some humor in that even though he could not laugh. Once all was said and done he wanted badly to go home a stay in the bed...after all major surgery had just occurred. I took my sweet Cade to the store and got him a little prise for being soooo good. However, I guess I just hadn't allowed him to become upset enough for the day so I went ahead and let him drink some of my water which he proceeded to spit all over himself because, yes, he was still numb. I think that the flossing will still only last for a few more weeks...then he will start fighting with me about that again.
First Weekend with Nothing to do in forever
Well, after numerous failed attempts to post Mr. Turkey, a song by Riley-Kate, I have decided to move on. I will try later on after my frustration levels off.
This weekend was lots of fun our Sunday School Class had a girls social. Mrs. Alice from HES came over and we painted a pictured titled Jingled My Bells, it was very cute...it had elves from the waste down on it and it took about 4 hours. A little longer than I thought, however it was lots of fun. There were 15 girls here painting.
The next day my nana, pronounced nanny, (don't ask) came to stay with us. She is going to be visiting until Thursday. We always enjoy her visits. She loves seeing the kids. Anyway the first thing that she wanted to do was go to Cracker Barrell...not our favorite. After we finish eating Bradon proceeds to tell us that he thinks he is going to be sick. So we head on home and call it a day. It does however give us the perfect excuse to be lazy and decorate for Christmas, RK was very excited about that. Anyway all was fine with the Hulsey House and we ended up having a good day considering.
Sunday we went to eat lunch at my mom's, Ran, and visited with my sister, brother-in-law and nephew (who is too cute)! We stayed for a while and then came on home. They stopped by later to visit with nana. This was actually a VERY low key weekend for us!!!

BUGS
For those of you who did not know Bradon got his braces off on Halloween (what a perfect day for that). Well today we had to go back to the orthodontist and get his retainer. He picked the color Boston blue for, drum roll, the Red Sox. Well is there any other team? Bradon would so NO!
We also went to the dentist today dentist. As usual it was lot's of fun, actually the kids all did great. We have never had cavity bugs...that was until today. My little man had two and I do not think he has a clue...probably a good thing because he thinks that they are real bugs that crawl around on your teeth thanks to mom and dad. We, of course, were trying to get him to brush his teeth and for some reason the bug thing seemed to work so we stuck with it.
As for me and Den we are up to the same old...work!!! I am working on my Planning and Zoning Certification (I started my home study today). Den is always busy at work. He is helping coach Bradon in basketball this season.
RK...well she is TROUBLE. She is taking cheerleading these days at Cowboys 2 days a week. Although she wants to be golfer and take ballet. Tomorrow who knows what she will want to do...just like a girl.
